me and my collaborators did the most extensive research (to the best of my knowledge) on the LAION datasets, producing 3 academic papers & we were the first the demonstrate LAION400M contained misogyny, pornography, & malignant stereotypes back in 2021 ->

Thank you so much for your work. I'm an artist that has had several dozen pieces of my art stolen without consent or compensation for that dataset. The exploitation, misogyny and racism fueling their algorithm needs to be exposed until they can be held accountable. Keep up the good fight.

but it took a report from Stanford for people to listen and actually do something about the datasets (withdrawn now)... what's worse, not a single one of our work was cited in the Stanford report. erasure of Black women's work is real
