I feel like saying "some folks need killing" should disqualify you from both public office and from having warm fellowship with the Christians you claim to be one of, but IDK, maybe I'm just a bad Christian now

Like if I knew someone who said that in seriousness? I'd give them a very wide berth. I might not confront them but I'd definitely not engage

You're both good and a Christian, and from what I can tell as a non-Christian, it sounds like you're a "good" practitioner of your Christian denomination. There have always been people who use the name of God for hatemongering, and those people are bad, full stop.
