This is slightly revisionist history. First of all, the GOP's "Project for a New American Century" laid out the plans to invade Iraq, years prior to 9/11. Second, even after 9/11, they needed to create "The Office of Special Plans" because their plans made even the CIA blush. 1/2

The main reason that Hussein Obama was able to "come of out nowhere" in 2008, is due to his record as loudly voting against the invasion of Iraq.
