i think the argument here is that, to a certain extent, the hopelessness is beyond the point. the right doesn’t care that all these attempts to impeach biden are hopeless; it convinces them that their politicians will never stop fighting the evils of the world, which to them is biden and the dems

this stuff isn’t complicated to republicans. they’ve been told for the past fifty years that this is a fight for the soul of america against satanic communists. a lot of them are genuinely preparing for civil war. and the democrats are sort of just shrugging and saying “but the rules though”
