Monk Parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus)The story is a shipping container in the 1980's at JFK Airport broke open and some 10's of these guys got out. True? Maybe... Now, nests on telephone poles as far as the Hamptons. I always get a kick out of them showing up at the feeder up in Amityville. #birds
