Annoyingly i missed the opportunity to go to the library last summer because of 50000 heavy metal fans in Helsinki last May. Apparently it's truly magnificent.

I took my mum to the Aarhus public library this week and we had a fab time but this is something else (I think I also remember a friend who lived in Helsinki telling me they also have sewing machines available? The dream)!

It brought to mind Alexei Sayle’s brilliant analysis that “Austerity is the idea that the global financial crash of 2008 was caused by there being too many libraries in Wolverhampton.”
