I say this every time a new most awful thing happens, but when I feel the deepest pull of despair, I dive back into this excellent book and am reminded of all the ways that change is possible even when it feels impossible

It's hard to sit with the possibilities of change when your life, your livelihood, your wellbeing, your family, your communities are in danger. Not everyone survives and thrives. But I think that means that those of us who are able to do the most work, who are the most safe, must resist the doom.
