The number of people on the left I’ve seen whose opposition to “capitalism” winds up being translated into “immigrants are bad because they provide cheap labor for capital” or “theocracy is good if it’s anti-capitalist” is distressing.

It’s the same kind of people who, instead of recognizing the common cause shared by all marginalized people instead demand we ally with bigots so long as they’re working-class bigots because “no war but class war” apparently includes “no other issues get to matter”.
