If your standard is “SOTU Biden” but discount speeches that are “prepared remarks, limited in duration and not taking questions” I’m forced to ask if you think the State of the Union is extemporaneous or involves Q&A.
Here's the thing: SOTU Biden went for 90 minutes in front of a half-hostile audience, and he took it to 'em. I don't believe that the back-and-forth he had with the GOP (an excellent exchange, which he convincingly won) was in his prepared speech.
That was great, and I need to see that guy again.
