The disparity between the popular vote and the seat allocation can be seen below. There is no incentive for any party that wins disproportionate power through FPTP to change the system, not when they are winning.

It's the same story here with us in the US. A leftist wing that manages to keep eating itself and we need to vote for Joe or else the devil incarnate wins while the right wing straight up riots and buys supreme court seats to bypass the election. It's like voting for cold tea vs. anthrax.
