Thanks for linking this. Admittedly, I haven’t delved into this yet. But would you have a short take on why Starmer is saying so? Is it a specific electoral group he is trying to please or is something else behind this?
I'm really not sure. It seems idiotic to me to hope for growth without addressing one of the biggest hurdles that most voters now regret. I guess he's aiming for the seaside and market towns that are shifting to Reform, as well as the old Red Wall seats. Populism will bite him badly.
