Criticizing the “two-party system/duopoly” is a red herring mistaking effect for cause. We live, first and foremost, under the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. If it suited capitalists to have three parties, or one party, or no parties, they would have it! That’s not the problem.

The problem is capital and US imperialism protecting its interests. Both parties participate in this, but so would third parties! So it’s not about “let’s get more competitive parties,” it’s “let’s overthrow capitalism and US imperialism.” Stop thinking inside electoral politics!
