Okay so do you genuinely think letting trump win, given the things we are literally watching happen, is materially better? Is there no value in delaying harm?

The problem I have with this line of questioning is the unspoken assumption that any of us, either as individuals or as a collective, have the power to stop Trump. Our institutions are fundamentally broken, which is why conversations like this one have no value.

There is no "letting Trump win". The simple fact is they made a strategic blunder and the consequences have arrived. Trump's supporters are energised, and Biden's are increasingly demoralised by his decline. This was always going to be the outcome.
