Few other choices, often enough. But the closer to you they were grown, the better. Here in VT, we can get (expensive, at orchard) peaches grown near Lake Champlain late in the summer, if its a lucky year. Otherwise, New Jersey>Georgia etc.>California. I did eat a pretty good SC peach this morning.
