Yes, back in the day, tickets were pocket-money prices, usually (in the UK) around £2, and cheaper than the associated LP!!

My first concert was Mike Oldfield (1979) That was about 30 Marks (15 Euros) The second was 2 yrs later Mike again.. Nearby the same price. The most expensive was in Paris in the 1980s.. Human rights now concert.. With Peter Gabriel, Sting, the Boss, Tracy Chapman etc.. And worth every penny

The rise in concert ticket prices is a nuisance. I’m surprised there isn’t a bigger outcry by music fans. I’ve seen pieces on attempts to reign in costs, but fans still pay. 🤯
