You understand that this person will be selected by the *next* Senate, yes? Not the current one? You're advocating for a situation where the Dems can only win the presidency if they win the Senate in a cycle with a *really* bad map for that.

The new people don’t take over until January 20.
On January 6, 2021 for the certification, we had Majority Leader McConnell and House Speaker Pelosi.
