Sure that's 100% true. Which is the dilemma that any strong supporter of "Intellectual Property" finds themself in. Unless it's a physical thing, it's a copy. Keeping people from copying valuable "IP" means very intrusive surveillance.

My favorite split so far has been commercial artists having an eternal cheesemelt, simultaneously whining about how it could never replace them and its killing the planet while also using trivially defeated "protection techniques" consuming the same GPU time... vs programmers like "this fucks hard"
