Just to pick a fight—it’s not clear to me that if you believe in and want to engage in *political* speech this is a useful place… I’ve been more and more funding this a great replacement for the mythical “faculty lounge” but like what’s even of the point of criticizing Kathy Hochul here?

Just to help you pick a fight: I think I agree with that argument, but it's refuting a theory I'm not offering. I don't think social media was ever a very good mode of political engagement. It seems likely to me that any actual political significance lies in the form of the medium and not content.+
