he just loooooves to choose the most exciting thing to write about, bonus points if it contradicts extant narratives of the people who live there. his bio on Octavian was good though, I enjoyed that.

Someone I follow on Twitter likes his stuff, and I have wondered if he actually knew anything about what he writes about or if he writes plausible but inaccurate history. More the latter, I see.
