I think some of it is the desperation caused by the commercial failures of IoT, Crypto, Metaverse, and NFT. I am starting to hear some enterprises are cooling to AI. It's a solution looking for a problem that is too expensive and too complex for minimally incremental improvements and no ROI.

I've been selling into corporate IT for a while, and I have seen projects not considered if they didn't show a 1 MONTH ROI. (Oil and Gas). Convincing them to invest with a 7+ year ROI is impossible. Money is finite for these companies and there are better ways to use it
