hmm are 5s acceptable everywhere? It seems like no info I can find is willing to say they are. I can tell you categorically if #6 is recyclable but can't go in the bin, no one knows where it should then go, lol. Where should it go?

5s probably aren't accepted everywhere. Would depend on the sorting capabilities of the local MRF. But #5 is a commodity w/ value. #6 would also have regionally specific. My MRF has a residential drop off area for #6, electronics, batteries, & motor oil. So it does require folks to bring it to us
