And I also just want to clarify I'm not anti ebike, I actually would love to own one, but until this car dies it's just not fiscally feasible for me to buy one

i totally get it. i wanted one for a while but until the new job i didn't feel super comfortable spending the money since unfortunately it does feel like a splurge even though it will cheapen my transportation costs in the long run. car brained mentality is hard to shake off
