Trans ppl with means are discussing fleeing the US because we have all heard exactly what Trump, Charlie Kirk, Matt Walsh et al have planned for us. Actual threat to the physical safety of you and your family overrides every other consideration.

A lot of it also is doubt about the center-left being willing to fight. Without the center-left being willing to kill for our shared beliefs, there's no way we can defeat a united fascist front in the US.

Cool, do you. I’m gonna stay b/c my folks have been murdered, tortured, jailed, raped & lynched by this government for all of history, including my trans ancestors. Many died fighting and teaching us to organize. I don’t begrudge those who left. It’s just a different politics of relationality.
