I'm so tired of party bosses telling voters that they know better, and we shouldn't concern our pretty little heads with that democracy thing. The _purpose_ of democracy is to allow good ideas to percolate to the top. Shit-canning that in the false hope of chasing Congressional seats? Shortsighted.

Democrats are fighting hard to keep control of the Senate in November. If the governor of the majority leader's home state can disregard the law so flagrantly, and Schumer is not willing to lift one finger to stop it, how can Democrats run on the platform of "we are fighting to save democracy"?
