I knew the discouse over kaiju no 8 was never going to be great. It's more thoughtful and involved in various levels of "reality" of how it would play out. And a season finale that's more administrative than lots of action is going to go over poorly for many.

My one disappointment has been I think this should have been a two cour and I worry this is going to be like Chainsaw Man where fans start becoming more cynical towards the show the longer they have to wait for more when it was a fine enough anime for what it was
