I don’t know, I have a hard time with this one. The media that did do Covid was all such a gigantic bummer. Do you remember the Covid season on Grey’s Anatomy? It was awful and depressing and not fun to watch. Government abandoned public health because of capitalism, not entertainment.

Yes, my immediate reaction is "you're right, they could have put the company right out of business".
Besides, if you want COVID superhero stories, you're not going to beat Love and Capes.

Also, I don’t really need to see any more big national tragedies in media that I use as an escape from the grind of life. I don’t need more 9/11 in things either.

We're also still dealing a bit with the fallout from COVID. Vaccine hesitation/denial, economic disruption, political events like the US Election. I think when things finally stabilize we'll get some good stories out of it but right now we need media to be an escape.
