The top 10% of global income earners (the rich) produce half of greenhouse emissions. If you earn more than US$41,000 = NZ$68,000 then you are part of that 10%.

While I understand that 41k dollar is a lot globally, but isn't that rich at all in the US itself? And also while I am all in favor of consumer action, shifting the burden from the ultra wealthy, and in particular large companies, to consumers always felt like a cheap trick from big oil.
