When I worked for a contractor for Cingular they let us! Then ATT bought Cingular and that was the end of that. Basically if you weren’t being treated as a human with feelings you were allowed to say “I’m sorry we can’t conduct business in this manner” and hang up

Yeah that's how my collections agency handles things if somebody's being inappropriate we can give them one warning to please remain professional and after that we can terminate the call although usually abusive customers just yells at us in an immediately hang up anyway
