Every registered voter should be required to volunteer at their local board of elections before, during, or after an election. Kinda like jury duty. There would be a lot less misinformation about voting and the elections process - hopefully, anyway.

While I like the sound of this, I also once, as a clueless youth, liked the sound of citizenship being dependent on military service. I now feel very much the reverse. While these are very different ideas, I think they at least share one problem: gatekeeping. It’s a civic duty to vote. Make it easy.
