went home early because my mom (who has had a fever for a few days) just got told to go to the ER because the GP has no idea what's wrong with her. hope it's nothing serious

i mean she's walking around and stuff, i suspect they just want to rule out the sorts of infections that could get worse very quickly and make it much harder to get over there (appendicitis etc.)
