There comes a point in child development where failure to develop a sense of object permanence (the understanding that objects don't cease to exist when not directly observed) is considered a serious problem.

In the city simulator game city skylines 2, house prices were out of control and the games AI solution was to make it illegal to be a land lord so houses could only be bought and sold to people living in them.
The market corrected and pricing became affordable.
