Absolutely. Looking at the job creation statistics of American RepubliQans and Democrats over the last ~35 years, it's amazing how poorly the right does even by its own metrics. There's no intellectual *there* there any more, and I'm willing to at least consider that there once was.

You’d have to go way back. As it is the R of the Heritage Foundation sell snake oil and effectively triangulate to bring in just enough groups, (fundamentalists, the wealthy class, gun lovers, anti-abortionists, white supremacists, libertarians, xenophobes and morons,) to be viable.
