Early indications are it doesn't solve the issue. Grr. :/ Guess I've got to try some other things... would be much easier if I had a Pixel 8 myself...

Tried making a new build with the Android SDK 34 (Android 14)... and updating Cordova to Android-13.00 for the project too. If this doesn't work I'm not sure what else to try... :P
