Ah, no. As a Michigan resident, I've seen what Gretchen Whitmer has accomplished, and done so with a GOP led legislature. Your implication that only racism or sexism could lead someone to prefer Newsom/Whitmer over Harris is not only wrong, it is offensive. (PS: I voted Harris in the 2020 primary).

The problem is, there's no way to put either Newsom or Whitmer on the ballot that isn't procedurally messy or bypassing the already cast ballots.
