Nothing really changed after the Johnstown Dam Disaster, just we have some government agencies now that call out the bullshit rather than the newspaper. And there is a remote chance they will be held accountable, just not meaningfully so.

I'm all for business trying to reduce liability, that's why we carry insurance, but manufacturing evidence & threatening agency staff should result in piercing the veil and criminal prosecution. Not just low level flunkies either, the CEO should be forced to step down in shame and face prosecution

I remember there were a bunch of conservative capitalism-apologists over on Shitter talking about how the burn was "actually good" and people were overreacting. Burning polyvinyl chloride is soooooo bad. Chemical warfare type bad. Let alone the cancer causing long term stuff.
