The rocky outcroppings line up with our protagonist’s penis. Though out of sight, the viewer is keenly aware that the penis, and its affect on the mind of our gentleman, is in fact the danger that lies ahead. Compositionally the genitalia is dead-centre, making all else tertiary to its presence.
