Corporate and governmental systems give humans the excuse, but it's humans building and maintaining when they could choose to instead build something different. I agree though the corporate system seems well designed for the application of evil.

I’m absolutely not excusing it, you are right, but the structure works very well for what it is intended to do. I marvel at that bit. The innate inhumanity of a certain portion of humanity is a truth that we have poorly incorporated into almost any system we have built.
