The death rate is down. It’s far more of a chronic disease and a horrific labor issue. It’s a novel virus we have no idea what it will do to your body in the future. Immunocompromised people can’t partake in society. Old people have terrible vaccination rates. Death rate is a shit talking point

Since we have basically stopped tracking covid reliably, I've been keeping an eye on the overall death rate as a proxy. The overall death rate in the US is still 10-15% higher than it was pre-covid. Not as bad as the first 2 years of the pandemic, but still very bad.
