IMO I think the issue is she doesn't release new music fast enough for the broader mainstream audience she was starting to break into and slowed down on touring. The machine wants to be fed but the underground DIY scene she came from doesn't always operate at that pace.

I am glad that so many different acts are receiving attention these days, it's much better than when I was growing up and WSHE only played the Doors, the Who, Led Zep, and Pink Floyd. That's my positive spin.
