Maybe it's because I'm from a major metropolitan area, but I've never heard that phrase before. I definitely thought it was referencing something else. As someone vaguely in HR, unless lots of people are saying that phrase/would know what it means, you might want to holster it. 🤷‍♀️

12 years ago, I had a patient at the chiropractor's office who was 70 years old, and told me at least thrice each appointment "[he] was rode hard and put away wet too many times" It tickled me, and now i think about him and not horses
