Well, I don't think it's a good way to conceptualize consciousness -- just the opposite. But many people find it compelling, and I can (sort of) see why. It does seem to be getting at something, though it's hard to say what. It's to do with how we conceptualize our own perspective on the world

Thank you. That is very interesting. I was puzzled as the motivation for the attacks. The venom seemed disproportionate for a philosophical disagreement. Are the people you mention religiously as well as politically affiliated?
