The grave of Corporal Octavius Walllace, of Company “I” 2nd Michigan. He was born in St. Thomas, Ontario. He was killed at the Battle of Williamsburg on May 5 1862. He refused to leave the battlefield after he was wounded. Wallace was buried in St. Thomas.

Did you know that the 16th Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers of the Canadian Army modified a Universal Carrier to carry and fire 15 PIATs at once? If not, now you do! Test done at Done at Nijmegen, Netherlands in December 1944.

The British Commonwealth Air Training Plan has to be one of the most impactful elements, if not the most, of #WorldWar2 on Canada. It's former airfields are everywhere across the country. Now they are the airports you use, the nature paths you walk on, the racetracks you visit, and much more.
