That’s a really good point. It’s a little sad isn’t it. Jaws gave us summer blockbusters that we all went to see culturally, but now every summer is the newest sequel or reboot. I think part of it is we’re drowning in media now aren’t we. With Netflix and co. quick easy entertainment is a constant.

It’s heartwarming seeing other women and kids hanging out at Warhammer World, as it feels like such a huge difference from when I visited Games Workshop as a young teen. It was always 100% men and teenage boys. It’s really nice to see more people feel welcome in nerdy spaces 💜

I think the best part of yesterday’s visit was the long conversation I had at closing time with a kid who was telling me about her love of jelly beans and being a space unicorn 🦄 ✨ She also told me she really doesn’t like her friend’s stinky farts though. I agreed that farts are bad ☺️

Ultimately, I prefer Labour as opponents when fighting for the rights of me and my friends. So I am pleased by the result. But it’s sad knowing there’s yet more fighting coming. I think I speak for a lot of trans people in the country when I say I’m bloody tired.

It’s Warhammer World week~! 💖 The yearly pilgrimage begins on Thursday. Last year’s visit was a blast. This time we’re staying nearby and spending a long weekend there playing (and shopping) ✨ Also looking forward to taking fun photos again ☺️
