Distributors cannot engage in direct sales of any kind. And while selling me a can of root beer probably not going to get them in trouble, it's all so not worth the risk. They even sold fancy alkaline waters, that we could not buy direct from them because not worth the risk

I worked in a distribution warehouse, and everything was to the letter. We were the distributor for a non-alcoholic root beer that I really enjoyed. I wanted to buy some direct from my employer, and was not allowed to. Even though it was non-alcoholic, they didn't want to run the risk.

Oh, probably. Not sure. And they were strict on everybody. If someone on the line got caught doing something that could result in loss of license, that person got written up, and their leadership got coached by the department manager. Who got yelled at by his supervisor and so on up.

Depending on the situation it could result in immediate termination. I saw one guy tried to do something that if caught would have resulted in loss of license, and the other workers shut him down. Loss of license means they could lose their job. They don't want that

Like a compliance person? Not that I was aware of, it was on all of the managers to make sure their departments stayed in line. They were very strict on disciplinary action if someone was found doing something that could cause them to lose their license.

Also, all of the restaurants and grocery stores and gas stations that were depending on you to deliver their product can't get it from you now because you're suspended. They start canceling contracts. Just a threat of the loss of license is enough to keep them in line

The first college I went to, alcohol was banned on campus. Not just open container, not just a container, if alcohol was found in your bloodstream you could get kicked out of school.

So the supplier pulls the contract from that distributor and moves it to someone who can. The distributor loses that business, pretty much forever. And not just that business, but everyone else who decided to pull their contracts on the suspension hit.

Think about it: they get suspended for a week. That means all of the suppliers they have contracts with to distribute the alcohol, aren't getting their product delivered to stores. Which means people can't buy their product.

I can only speak for the company I worked for, and they did everything to reg. Its not worth it to them. Its not fines they are worried about, it the license. State can suspend their license at any time, for like any violation. They'd lose basically everything if its suspended for a week.

State gov has really backed off the liquor laws here. I don't foresee it ever being for sale in grocery stores or Walmarts here, but everything else they're pretty chill on. There are plenty mom and pop liquor stores around that convenience isn't too bad.

Oh, they are still locked in at Eagle Rock, and I guess they make enough $$$ off it that they can distribute statewide and still make a profit. It might be different if all you're selling out of a site is beer. Not sure on that

They are allowed like small storage locations, but are limited on how much they can keep in them. Company I worked for had two big sites in Savannah and Atlanta, and two little ones in Valdosta and Columbus. The little ones barely broke even on their runs.

Nope, distributors have even more restrictions. Used to work for one. They are allowed basically 2 locations in the state. They can be huge, but they can only have 2. They can cover unlimited range in the state, but it gets really cost ineffective really quick to drive that stuff all over

A year and a half ago they were getting beat by multiple scores by Bowling Green. Then last year they lost to uga by just over a touchdown. Went from losing to a MAC school to hanging with the defending champs. Thats interesting to me, regardless of the logo on the helmet

The thing that drives me the most crazy about that movie is he destroys both the Resistance and the First Order fleets, kills the big bad, kills the series main/original protagonist, leaves the good guys with one small freighter, and then walks away saying "have fun with the third!"
