The reason you haven't seen me at a convention since January 2023, and probably won't until at least January 2025, is fairly simple. I can't reallly justify the cost right now after a sharp drop in income (>20%) and buying a house. Pretty much restricting travel to friend visits.

Our fandom owes a great debt to the late Mark Merlino. My flight path, and those of countless others before and after, is simply not the same without his effort to build community, establish the first furry convention, and preserve its history. The only words that come to mind are "thank you".

My convention travel is going to remain fairly reduced through the next year plus as I focus my finances instead on major home improvements and my time on a combination of house repairs, weight loss, and cheaper experiences. I'm still on VR most days & use Telegram, so I'm not poofing by any means.
