The city said it could not provide an estimate of the cost because city employees produced “much of this” on their own time. The highly-produced 94-minute documentary chronicles Hancock’s entire life story and features community leaders and city employees praising Hancock.

NEW: Outgoing Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s administration produced a taxpayer-paid, feature-length film extolling his greatness. A city spokesman confirmed that the film’s copyright is held by Hancock himself, not the city.
