Worth noting is that librarians don't accept the bullshit dichotomy that you either have iron-clad control over access or else you have small children reading porn. Librarians WANT more engagement around books and conversations about what's appropriate, etc.

Also, this right at the top, sigh "Attendees held signs featuring phrases like 'libraries are for everyone' and 'free people read freely.' ... As participants marched through Nashville’s streets, one person zipped by on a scooter and yelled, 'Fuck you!'"

"The state board of education punted the Scene’s question about why the slides are omitted to the local education agency (MNPS). MNPS spokesperson Sean Braisted says the teacher who developed the scope and sequence of the curriculum has retired. But it is reviewed and updated each year."

They were legendary when I was studying recording at MTSU for setting up numerous amp stacks in the rotunda of the mass comm building to record hilariously over-the-top guitar solos with natural reverb ... between midnight and 8 a.m.

Legit stoked for this. Seems like a good foundation for a plan. If I've got to live in a city that's bigger than it likes to think it is, it's nice to imagine I can one day do city stuff like catch a bus without having to drive my car to it.
