The carrot is probably the most underrated classic vegetable today. If eaten raw, the carrot is an extremely powerful root. It destroys parasites, including tapeworm, it repairs the liver & kidneys. It helps against arthritis. It is anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory & anti-bacterial (via Marie Cachet)

I got to see A Man Called Otto yesterday. Honestly, I thought it'd be your standard curmudgeonly-old-man-becomes-a-kind-soul kinda story-but Tom Hanks plays it well without lurching into any sentimentality. And I love Mariana Treviño's performance.
