Recently I had the pleasure of attending the launch of 'Legacy', a Single Malt from Walsh Whiskey, released in collaboration with the Kilkenny Whiskey Guild to mark the upcoming 700th anniversary of the first mention of distillation in Ireland in 1324. Finished for 15mths in Château la Nerthe casks.

No problem at all David. Either is good actually, Irish distilleries typically elect to use one or the other based largely on what was historically used in the area or personal preference of the owners. The rules allow the use of either spelling. 🥃

It is subjective. Sometimes the punchline resonates and throws me off and other times I’m doubled over in laughter. The comedian can’t know everyone’s pain or what they’re going through at any particular time. Take from it what you can, what distracts momentarily and what brings relief & even joy.

Nice! Their gin has a great reputation to be fair to them. I agree, Speyside is home to some incredible distilleries - Aberlour (and their A’bunadh release in particular) is exceptional. 🥃

Hi Jeannie, I have indeed! They’ve produced some very nice single pot still & single malt whiskeys over the past few years. Their ‘Wheel of Time’ series also features some tasty releases. The distillery is also beautifully located & well worth a visit! 🥃

A number of newish and certainly one very new Fercullen Whiskey release from Powerscourt Distillery! The 15yo part Madeira finished Irish grain whiskey & the just launched 17yo Apple Brandy finished Irish single malt are genuinely worth grabbing if you have the chance! 🥃😋
