Oh trust me I know lmfao. I have a gravel pit I've been digging and sifting out rocks from for the past couple years. Glacier till is hard to dig lol.

I don't care if it's a non-native weed, Queen Anne's Lace was my favorite wildflower growing up. 💚🌱🤍

Personally I think it's a great deal. You actually aren't purchasing anything, but rather renting the library access. If I were to buy all those albums I listen to in a month, it would cost me thousands. Paying for TV with ads, now there's a scam...

Grandma would have adored these hollyhocks. It took a few years to get them well established, but I slipped in a black hollyhock variety into the mix. 🤭🌱 Soo many colors here now! 💚

Those are daylilies, not true tiger lilies. We actually call them ditch lilies here 🤣 Tiger lilies have straighter stalks and less leaves. 💚

lol that's what I tend to do with roots - throw them in water until I can figure out a place to plant them. I am just floored by the scent of the chocolate mint! AMAZING!

This is my spearmint patch. I started it with a few plants about 5 years ago. It only pushes around other non-native aggressive plants like creeping charlie, catnip, and the bunching onions off to the side. The barnyard grasses is what you need to worry about here. There is no controlling them.

It's really quite amazing what people will comply with simply because they were told to, even when there's no real punishment. Reminds me of speeding camera tickets. Those aren't actually legal and you don't have to pay them (in my state, anyway).

This sums up nicely how my month has been going. 🙃🌻🌱 It's been an exhausting race balancing raspberry picking season and seasonal job, plus keep up with any sort of lawn work in between loads of rain.

I've given some free reign because I gave up trying to control all the yard parts. It's a big yard lol. Here I gave up. Just going to try to get the bricks moved to a better suited spot 🤣

I would think these are materials hobbyists should avoid. The exception being finding animal bones on nature walks or in your yard. Even then you should probably know how to safely handle them.

Lol! I planned on it. 😏 Actually I want them for a path in the shade where nothing grows anyway and I absolutely can't lose them like I always do 🤣 This one was so deep so fast it threw me. Must have been all the rain and flooding.

It's just bananas. Going to see if I can rescue those bricks because they were a very pretty white! I fished out one, but yeah, it's just tons of mud on top. Nature baffles me sometimes when I see what randomness it's capable of.

No, seriously, there is like 3 inches of dirt piled up on this entire brick path area. MY YARD ATE THE BRICKS! And it only took them 2 good seasons to COMPLETELY bury like 40 clay bricks. 😳

So, like 2-3 years ago I tried to tame an area around my greenhouse. I had cute bricks, some decorative rocks, and tried to carve out small garden patches. Today I go gently trimming and wading through tall grasses in search of those bricks. This is all I found.... 😯🙃🌱

Entirely different plants. Wild black raspberries are "caps" like the red raspberries you see in stores. Blackberries grow on a stem, and look similar to mulberries (usually a little bigger). Both are in the bramble family 💜

Very good plan. My biggest battle around here is grasses, both native prairie and barnyard additions that got loose. Some areas I let creeping charlie (ground ivy) grow even though it's seen as a non-native invasive around here. Doesn't harm/compete with most plants because of its shallow roots.

They really are! This is why I let all bugs and wild natives run free, because I know the ecosystem will run itself. I don't need to intervene or spray. They've already eaten all the mosquitoes and have moved on to tiny grasshoppers 🤭
